Beyond academia, his practical impact is significant—he is the designer behind the nationally recognized NIRF (National Institutional Ranking Framework) logo. A recipient of multiple awards, including the Teaching Excellence Award 2022 at IIT Hyderabad and Best Typography Poster Design awards, he specializes in graphic design, type design, and visual branding.
Prof. Saurav Khuttiya Deori
Also an Assistant Professor at IIT Hyderabad, Dr. Deori is an expert in visual communication and heritage preservation. He earned his Master's and Ph.D. from IIT Guwahati, where his doctoral work on Ahom dynasty monuments won the Best Thesis Award (2021-2022). He has hands-on experience in branding and print projects for government bodies like the Government of Assam and has contributed to tourism promotion projects funded by the Ministry of Education. His interests include visual ethnography, heritage preservation, and identity design.
